WellPower Primary Care
WellPower Offers Primary Care for People We Serve
WellPower offers integrated primary care alongside behavioral health support, with access to on-site lab services and an in-house pharmacy at our primary care location. Our team is trauma-informed and built to support people managing chronic conditions, complex medications and challenges like transportation or housing.
If you’re already in services with WellPower and would like to enroll in primary care, ask your treatment team about a primary care referral.
Any provider or staff member can place the referral and our team will check insurance, help schedule your first visit and keep your care team in the loop.
Why integrated primary care works
- One place for whole-person care: Primary care and mental health teams can coordinate more easily, including medication lists and follow-up.
- Trauma-informed and respectful: We explain what to expect, answer questions and move at your pace, especially for screenings or tests that can feel overwhelming.
- Flexible support for real-life barriers: If symptoms, transportation or life circumstances get in the way, we work with you to keep care consistent.
- On-site lab and pharmacy: Get labs and prescriptions without extra stops when available.
- Focused on prevention and chronic conditions: Regular checkups can help you avoid urgent care and emergency department visits.
Primary care services at WellPower
Our primary care team helps with everyday health needs, long-term conditions and preventive care. Common services include:
- Bloodwork and lab monitoring (including labs needed for certain medications)
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- High cholesterol
- Diabetes care and management
- Chronic pain support
- Smoking and wellness conversations
- Preventive care and screening support (at your pace)
- Care coordination and specialty referrals when needed
What to expect at your visit
Most visits start with a warm welcome from our nursing team, a quick check of vitals and a conversation about what brought you in. Your provider will focus on your main concern while also looking for other health needs that may deserve attention, like prevention, chronic conditions and how physical health can affect mental health (and vice versa). If you need labs, we can often do bloodwork on-site and our pharmacy can help you start or refill medications with fewer extra steps.
Insurance and affordability
Primary care is covered by Medicaid and WellPower also accepts a number of Medicare and commercial insurance plans. If you have questions about coverage, our team can help check benefits as part of scheduling.
WellPower primary care is available to people currently in WellPower services.
If you’re not currently receiving WellPower services, and would like more information about mental health or substance use care, please contact us by calling (303) 504-7900 or visit wellpower.org/appointment. Please note, WellPower does not offer primary care as a standalone service – it is an additional offering to people already receiving behavioral health care with WellPower.
