National Council Reintegration Award for 2Succeed

Las Vegas (April 9, 2013) – The WellPower 2Succeed program has received another honor – a second place finish in the employment category of the National Council’s 2013 Reintegration Awards competition. Program Director Roy Starks accepted the award at the ceremony held in conjunction with the National Council’s annual conference in Las Vegas on April 9. The WellPower received a $5,000 contribution from the Awards’ sponsor, Eli Lilly and Company.

The WellPower’s 2Succeed program assists customers in finding employment and partners local businesses with productive and motivated employees. Recognizing the importance of employment in promoting consumer recovery, by2Succeed offers rapid placement and support for “real jobs” as an incentive for consumers’ participation in integrated physical, mental health and substance abuse treatment and housing.

Since 1997, the Reintegration Awards have celebrated the achievements of those in the community who dedicate themselves to improving the lives of individuals with serious mental illnesses who battle tremendous odds to improve their own lives and the lives of their peers. The Reintegration Award for Employment recognizes those who help individuals diagnosed with a mental illness develop the skills necessary to secure and maintain employment. In 2013, the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare is proud to partner with Lilly to offer the Reintegration Awards.
