WellPower, Colorado’s largest community mental health center, is pleased to announce the appointment of Samuel R. Mitchell, Jr., MBA, MHA, as vice president and COO effective October 27, 2025.

Mitchell brings over two decades of expertise in healthcare administration, operational leadership and organizational transformation from nationally recognized healthcare organizations.

Mitchell will oversee WellPower’s daily operations, working to maximize efficiency and effectiveness for the people we serve. He will also play a key strategic role on the executive management team, helping achieve our long-term goals.

His successful track record in driving organizational efficiency and managing diverse service lines will be invaluable as WellPower continues to meet the evolving needs of the Denver community and beyond.
