2013 Gifts of Hope

More than 300 guests attended the 2013 Gifts of Hope Fundraising Breakfast-our largest group yet! More than just a fundraising event, Gifts of Hope is an opportunity for the WellPower and members of the community to learn more about how together we can make an impact on mental health in Denver. The Rocky Mountain Youth Choir entertained guests with two songs before the program.

This year’s theme focused on our Child and Family Services. Guests were taken on a virtual tour of WellPower’s programs across the Denver area. Beginning at City Hall, Mayor Hancock delivered a speech via video supporting the programs of the WellPower. Stops along the video tour were made at a New Day Resource Center in West Denver, featuring our horticulture therapy; Voz y Corazon where teens learn to express their feelings through art; and El Centro de las Familias a program offering culturally sensitive support to Denver’s Latino community. The tour highlighted WellPower’s programs and efforts to help children from infancy to adulthood.

Thank you to all who attended and gave in support of these important programs that allow us to grow stronger, healthier families.
