In 2019, WellPower began exploring a rebranding effort to find a name that better reflected our evolving role in the community — embracing a more inclusive view that mental health is an integral part of overall health and well-being.

As eager as we were to introduce a name that better communicated our important work and to join the national movement promoting well-being, we could not have foreseen the way the world would change in early 2020.
In response, we paused our rebrand so that WellPower could focus on helping our community with the stress, anxiety and anguish the pandemic brought. We are incredibly proud of our hard-working and caring staff who showed up at a time when the world locked down. Despite the financial challenges, we did not lay off any employees — a testament to our commitment to staff and our prudent business practices.

In 2021, we announced that January 2022 was the right time to launch our rebrand. And now in 2022, we are once again reminded that the best laid plans can be met with unforeseen challenges. New concerns over the omicron variant, state and nationwide demand for mental health and recent negative and unbalanced media coverage of Colorado’s community mental health centers has impacted our organization, staff and community relationships. While we will most certainly weather these challenges, we are adapting our plan and purposefully pausing our rebrand.
We continue to advocate for meaningful changes to our state’s behavioral health systems and to care for anyone who needs our help, from infants to elders. We are grateful for the steadfast support from our friends, partners, funders, community and government leaders.

We are an organization deeply committed to the people we serve. Our rebrand will help us to more clearly communicate depth and breadth of our work to help people thrive and better define the role of mental health in individual and community well-being. It is important to be deliberate, thoughtful, inclusive and intentional with this project, which will serve as a milestone for our organization. We want it to be a celebration of who we are and what we can be together. We look forward to presenting you with our new identity later in 2022.
