Wellness Warriors raise more than $10,000 to support Colorado AIDS Walk and the “Living and Learning with HIV” program

On Saturday, August 11, the WellPower’s “Wellness Warriors” participated in the 25th Annual Colorado AIDS Walk held at Cheesman Park in Denver.  The WellPower’s “Living & Learning with HIV” program is a beneficiary organization of the Colorado AIDS Walk. A significant portion of the more than $10,000 raised by the Wellness Warriors will support “Living and Learning with HIV,” which provides counseling and support for people with HIV and their loved ones.

The WellPower wants to especially thank Dayna Menninger, who raised approximately $8,500 for the event. Menninger is the daughter of WellPower psychiatrist Dr. John Menninger. The 11th grader has raised a lifetime total of $46,000 for the Colorado Aids Project through the AIDS Walk.  Each year, Menninger rides a unicycle the entire length of the course, accompanied by her father who runs at her side.

If you were unable to participate in this year’s AIDS Walk but would like to make a contribution, you can donate to the Colorado AIDS Walk and the “Living and Learning with HIV” program here.
